This privacy policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit www.silviamerighi.com, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
Silvia Merighi
[postal address], Budapest, Hungary
E-mail: admin@silviamerighi.com
2. Visiting the website
When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical information that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted.
3. Contact form and e-mail
If you use the contact form or write to me by e-mail, I process your name, e-mail address, your message and the date and page from which it was sent, only to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps prior to a possible agreement, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in responding). Form messages are delivered by e-mail and a copy is stored in the website database.
I delete enquiries when they are no longer needed, at the latest 12 months after the conversation has ended, unless a longer period is required by law.
4. Cookies
This website uses cookies that are technically necessary for it to work, including one that stores your cookie choice. Other cookies are only set if you agree to them in the cookie banner. Details are in the cookie policy; you can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
5. External links
The website links to my LinkedIn profile. No data is sent to LinkedIn until you click the link; after that, LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies.
6. Recipients
Personal data is only shared with service providers who help run the website, in particular the hosting provider ([hosting provider: name, address, e-mail]), under a data processing agreement. I do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing (Art. 7(3)).
To use these rights, write to admin@silviamerighi.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Hungary this is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), Falk Miksa utca 9–11, 1055 Budapest, naih.hu.
8. Changes
I may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
