Talks, panels and articles on recycled plastics, and on the rules and incentives that would make them the obvious choice.
My name is Silvia Merighi. I am Italian, I live in Budapest, and I have spent more than 45 years in the plastics industry.
I started in January 1983 as an intermediary in the international plastics market, and that has been my work ever since: understanding what producers, converters and recyclers need, and connecting them across borders. Over the years the focus of the industry has shifted, and so has mine. Today my main interest is recycling and the circular economy.
I believe waste is a resource. Making that true in practice takes better collection and sorting, reliable recycled materials, and laws and rules that reward their use. That is what I write and speak about, and what I work for every day.
Talks, panels and articles on recycled plastics, and on the rules and incentives that would make them the obvious choice.
More than four decades of connecting producers, converters, recyclers and traders across Europe, with a growing focus on recycled polymers.
Where recycled polymers come from, what they are worth and who needs them: supply, quality and price, seen from inside the market.
Long-standing relationships with producers, converters, recyclers and traders across Europe, and a knack for bringing the right people together.
Practical arguments for treating waste as a resource, and for rules and incentives that make recycled materials competitive.
Talks, panels and business meetings where I speak for the plastics sector and argue for recycled materials.
