# Silvia Merighi

More than 45 years in the international polymer market, connecting producers, converters and recyclers across Europe. Today I work to make recycled plastics the obvious choice, because waste is a resource.

- **45+** years in the polymer market
- **1983** started in international plastics trade
- **Europe-wide** network across the plastics chain

Italian by birth, based in Budapest

I joined the plastics business in January 1983 and have worked in it ever since, as an intermediary in the international market: matching materials, companies and countries. Four decades of this have shown me how the market really works, and what still holds recycling back.

Today I share that experience as a speaker and advocate for plastics recycling.
